For my independent reading book I read "Paper Towns" by John Green. It all starts with the two protagonists Q and Margo. In the first part of the novel it takes place in Orlando, Florida near Sea World and Jefferson Park (where they live) getting revenge. In the second part of the novel Q searches for clues to find Margo and is normally in pseudodivisions, the school that they attend, and places where Margo would normally be like in an abandoned mini mall. In the third part the four friends decide to go on a road trip to find Margo and they start at Orlando, Florida, then North Carolina, and finally in Agloe, New York. The novel begins with the relationship of Q and Margo when they were kids until there age in the story. Everything starts when one night Margo invites Q to come with her to seek revenge on people that have treated her horribly or not right. They end when it is almost dawn or dawn. During all the adventure they had together Q thinks they could become friends again or start talking to eachother again until Q discovers that Margo has escaped. The main conflict of the story is that Quentin feels that he has to find Margo and that nobody cares about finding her.
I think this book is worth reading because it has an amazing theme that is you should chase for something in life that you really want or is worth it even though for some people don't think it is. You can see this when Q is trying so hard to look for new clues or finding Margo. I think this theme that the author decided to put is very important in life because you should always chase for something that you really want no matter how hard or challenging it is going to be. I would recommend this book to everybody because it has a very important theme and it is a book that has every type of genre for each person.
